Track events and follow-ups
Understand proposed dates, event preparation and relationship follow-ups.
Use Community Events for the chronological event list. Records without dates remain in that list even when they cannot appear on the calendar.
Understand event phases
- Pursuing: an opportunity or tentative event that is not confirmed.
- Prep: required preparation remains unfinished.
- Ready: the event is confirmed and required preparation is done or skipped.
- Post: the event has ended or needs post-event follow-up.
Use the phase filters to focus the list. Completed and Cancelled records have separate filters. If a phase shows Unknown, reopen or refresh the record before relying on its preparation status.
Proposed dates and confirmed events
A proposed date represents a possibility, not a confirmed event. The calendar gives proposed dates a separate marker and count. Open the original event record to review its details and complete the event workflow.
Keep follow-ups current
Update the organization's next action and follow-up date after an interaction. Contacts can also have a next-contact date. Dated follow-ups appear on the calendar when Community Growth is available in your workspace.
